Cars in the Park at Ashburton, KZN

cars-in-the-park-banner-2015
The Cars in the Park event that is normally held in Alexandra Park in Pietermaritzburg was this year held at the Ashburton Training Centre for racehorses about 15kms outside the city on Sunday May 17, 2015. As over the years, we have gone to the annual event to reach lost souls with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. ~ Psalm 20:7
cars_in_the_park This year Gary was accompanied by Marius. It was also the 40th anniversary of this event that started in 1975. We had been down with the influenza during the week and whilst we rested and prayed for healing our Great God was gracious in His love by healing and giving us strength to go and share the Gospel of His blessed Son Jesus Christ to the hordes of humanity that flocked from all over South Africa to come to this event, which is an event run by the freemasons, as was the case last year, too. Their motto as can be seen stitched on the back of their caps, read: “Making GoodDSCF2946.1 Men, Better Men!!” We know this to be vanity and deceptive for our Lord Jesus Christ even corrected the young rich ruler’s understanding on who is good when he said:
17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. ~ Mark 10:17,18
Before entering the facility, we wrestled with the fact that our admission payment would be going to this devilish organization, who now so blatantly come out into the open and masquerade as a “holistic” benevolent organization. Our Lord provided an open-door as we entered the facility and was able to hand out our Gospel literature, engage in witnessing and open-air preaching without any hindrance from the ever present marshals passing by us. There was even a security camera drone that hovered overhead!

Andre and Chris We had two very engaging conversations and our Lord also sent encouragements from Christians our way. The first conversation was with two young teenagers visiting from Westville, near Durban, named Andre and Chris. Andre said he is a believer and Chris said he was hearing the Gospel for the first time. They both looked as if they were under conviction. We pray for our Father to bring them to a sound knowledge of the Saviour of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Donald (JW) and MariusThe second conversation was started by Marius with a Jehovah Witness named Donald (?). We dealt with the usual objections that JWs always bring, but when he spoke about people being destroyed in the grave and will not experience pain and suffering in hell after death, the one Scripture that really got him thinking was when we asked him to check his NWT (JW bible) on his smart-phone and read Revelation 20:10 where it also reads “tormented day and night for ever and ever.” The King James Bible reads:
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ~ Revelation 20:10
The conversation went back and forth as always, but he was hearing the Truth from Scripture. Please pray for all JWs who are deceived by the false teachings of The Watchtower Society situate in Brooklyn.

Just on 1pm when the parachutists were about to perform our Lord Jesus Christ gave opportunity to proclaim Him to the gathering crowds looking skywards! Here are three audio clips:

AB Jackson Hockey Witnessing / Preaching and Nepal Earthquake

On Saturday April 25, 2015 Brothers Jono and Gary went and made Gospel tract distribution at the U21 Hockey Interprovincial Final between Western Province and Northern Blues. WP won the gold-medal match 6-3, but the message was that there is a greater reward and prize to be won through repentance and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.

The gentleman in the red and black shirt took the Gospel tract and when he sat down read the same intently than rather watch the hockey on display. And afterwards as he left the arena he thanked us!

During the final many players from other provincial teams received Gospel literature as they walked past us as we stood inside the grounds at the entrance. After the final most of the Western Province players received the Good News as they filed past us.

We pray our Father God will bring the souls to repentance and faith and welcome them into His Kingdom! We also pray for our brethren and the lost souls in Nepal, Bangladesh and Northern India who experienced the effects of a 7.8 earthquake on Saturday, too. May our Great God be merciful and gracious in saving lost souls and in the midst of the chaos may evangelist labourers help and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Lord please send us . . .

To GOD be the glory alone!
