Unpopular Bible Doctrines ~ Part 1

This is a new 11 part serious that deals with "Unpopular Bible Doctrines" that even many Christians do not want to believe they are in the Bible. The videos, together with the Scripture portions, are from Larry Wessels, Director of Christian Answers, Austin, Texas.

The reason why I have decided to run this series is a desire and passion for getting the Truth of God into this world, and to those who are so deceived with their false doctrines and false teachings. This reality really hit home recently when I lost my mother to an illness that took her life on 29th February 2012, aged 71, and I got to see and hear my family members' mixed up or lack of doctrine when I attended our late mother's memorial service. This is not easy for me to write this, but I write this in love giving a stern warning, of which I, too, am also to examine myself before our God Almighty. Just as the apostle Paul withstood the apostle Peter to the face, because he was to be blamed (read the whole account in Galatians 2:11-21) so I issue the rebuke, for open rebuke is better than secret love (Proverbs 27:5). We have professing Christians, Roman Catholics and unbelievers in our "earthly" family that say we should not judge one another, when Jesus Christ said if we judge, "judge righteous judgment" (John 7:24). If we as believers were living perfect (Matthew 5:48) and Holy (1 Peter 1:16) lives before God our Father and continually examining ourselves we would not need our brothers and sisters to be doing the correcting and instructing. The reason why some Christians don't receive the rebuke in love, is because they are still caught up in pride - and pride comes before destruction (Proverbs 16:18). It appears that there are also believers that do not examine themselves against the Holy standards of God, but Scripture tells us that we are to use Scripture "for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).

My friends, we do hope that we all might learn and grow by the Word given to us and to live righteous lives in Christ Jesus.
