Mission Act 1:8 ~ Day 7

Today Brother Aziz Ebrahim joined me placing Gospel tracts in post boxes of homes and church buildings, too! These included “St. Matthew’s Anglican Church” on Hesketh Drive and the “Wesley Methodist Church” on the cnr. Cleland and Spearman. We also passed a “Jehovah Witnesses’ Kingdom Hall” on cnr. Rushmore and Burns, but there was no post box for our tracts.

We also met a lady named Joey – a “Seventh-Day Adventist” that commended our walking and distributing our Gospel literature and even gave us one of “theirs” – a book titled “The Great Hope”. We will examine all that is referred therein and bring a correction where appropriate!

We also shared the Gospel with three Malawians – Harrison (Christian), Mohammed (Muslim) and Yussuf (Muslim) who were doing some garden services on Thorngate. The two Muslims could not understand English, but we encouraged Harrison (who understood us and who speaks English well) to get a Bible and share Jesus Christ with his fellow Malawian nationals who find themselves here in South Africa!

Later on Burns (between Rushmore and Spearman) we came across Lionel (18) and Sarah (think she’s the same age). They had not heard the Gospel before, and whilst I took them through the Law of God, Sarah said a profound thing: “It is like you know me.” It is the same thing that happened to the Samaritan woman at the well with our Lord Jesus Christ in John chapter 4. I shared with her that it is her conscience that is bearing witness with what I am asking her. Scripture confirms this as we read in Romans 2:15 and Hebrews 4:12, 13 ~
Romans 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Both Lionel and Sarah had their mouths stopped and they were humbled by the Law of God – one could see their consciences were working on them. Praise be to God. We do pray that God will bring them to full salvation.

Later on Cleland Road we also popped into the Veterinary Rooms and handed Gospel tracts to the staff who were enjoying the comfort of an air-conditioned office whilst outdoors it was a hot 32°C (90°F)! Please keep all in prayer who received tracts and the Word of our Lord.

Please also check out the photograph journal by clicking the photo hereunder and do join us in praying for the souls reached that they will come to repentance and faith in our great God Jesus Christ the Righteous. Day 7 ~ February 19, 2013 (Photos 95-105)
